We will install the choice of your operating system on your behalf and perform scheduled updates to ensure the security/performance of your server.
If in the unlikely event the configuration of the server has become corrupt or incorrectly configured, we can perform rebuild/reinstall of the operating system on request
If in the unlikely event that the server is failing to boot after a restart, we can provide temporary access to ICMP and the server with automatically boot into safe mode
We have a regulary patch schedule for all of our servers and your server will be added into our schedule list for updates on a regular basis
On request by support ticket, we will perform the stop, start and reboot actions for you
All of our services come with 24/7 technical support via our ticketing systems and we will do our best to support both hardware and software related issue. (Please note application support is limited and you may be directed to contact the vendor for additional support)
Your dedicated server will be included into our advanced monitoring system which we receive pro-active alerts for if any issues occur. Any faults or issues found we will automatically attempt to fix before contacting you
A dedicated hosting service, dedicated server, or managed hosting service is a type of Internet hosting in which the client leases an entire server not shared with anyone else. This is more flexible than shared hosting, as organizations have full control over the server(s), including choice of operating system, hardware, etc.
Upon purchasing a dedicated server, your server will be provisioned within the datacenter with the customisations you can configured. Once the server has been provisioned, our team of experts will carry out any additional setup configuration for the server based on your requirements (For example; install the desired operating system). Server credentials will then be shared with you (End user) so you are able to remote connect to install your application. As this is a managed service, control of the server such as start,stop,reboot is maintained by ourself including monitoring.
As our dedicated servers come fully managed, access to the dedicated server control panel is not permitted. If you require additional configuration for the server which cannot be completed using root access, we will perform these actions on your behalf when a support ticket has been opened. Why do we do this? This allows us to take full control and responsibility of the dedicated server removing the overhead for the client and allowing them to focus on building and using the server.
We use advanced monitoring on all of our services with pro-active steps to ensure if an unlikely event is to occur, we can remidate the problem as quickly as possible to reduce downtime. Our team of experts react quickly to any alerts generated by our monitoring systems if deemed hardware related. If the application inside the dedicated server become unresponsive but our monitoring system does not read the server as unhealthy then you would be required to submit a support ticket to request a reboot of the server to help fix the issue.
